HOUSTON—Crime Stoppers are offering a reward if you can help them catch a serial forger who uses a fake ID to pass forged checks.
According to officials, a woman has visited various Houston-area retailers on multiple occasions and made purchases using counterfeit identification and forged checks.
The suspect was photographed passing forged checks at a Kohl's store in Missouri City. In addition, false identification was used by the same suspect on two occasions at Sam's Club near Reliant Stadium.
The value of the forgeries is at least $16,000, officials said.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the (713) 222-8477 tips hotline or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the identification, arrest, or filing of felony.
All tipsters remain anonymous.
