Strides for charity

Striders, a Howard County running group, sponsored its 30th Centennial Fun Run on Tuesday to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The one-mile run draws runners of all ages and skill levels. The Striders running club is a nonprofit that seeks to promote community fitness through running. It also supports race events and group runs at least three times a week, according to its Web site.
