The Whitehaven Ferry

Capt. Bobby Bean, operator of the Whitehaven Ferry, passes the long day chatting on his cell phone as the cable ferry returns to Whitehaven where he returns to pick up commuters to cross the Wicomico River. The ferry, according to the Maryland Historical Trust, has operated since at least 1688 and runs from sunrise to sunset.
