Man fatally shot outside Caroline Co. home

Maryland State Police are investigating an apparent homicide this morning in Caroline County.

A man tentatively identified as Maurice P. Stanley III, 29, also known as "Ti Ti," of the 4200 block of Nichols Road in Federalsburg was found dead early this morning.

Federalsburg police and the Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for shots fired, and police found Stanley outside his trailer. He had at least one gunshot wound. Stanley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The state police homicide unit is investigating the crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact Maryland State Police at the Easton Barracks at 410-819-4747.
