Grasonville woman killed in cycle crash
An Eastern Shore woman was killed early yesterday when the motorcycle on which she was a passenger crashed on a street in Chester, a Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.
Kimberly Dawn Rada, 46, of Grasonville was pronounced dead at the scene on Main Street about 1 a.m., said Dale Patrick, the spokesman.
Patrick said the driver of the 1999 Harley-Davidson Sportster was seen fleeing the scene on foot and was apprehended nearby by Deputy Sheriff Jessie Adams. Patrick said the driver, Larry Gene Smith, 41, of Greenbelt, was charged with multiple traffic offenses and was being held on $25,000 bond.
