Drug arrestsA woman, her son and a teenage boy of no relation were arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with multiple drug violations. Armed with a search and seizure warrant, members of the district drug enforcement unit entered an apartment in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Ave. and arrested Annie Robinson, 54, her son, William Broaddus, 29, and a male, 16, on charges of possession and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and marijuana. In addition, Broaddus also was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. His mother also was charged with conspiracy. The arrests followed an undercover purchase of cocaine in April, said Det. David Jones. Seized were $753, 11 grams of crack cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, a scale and packaging materials. Jones said that the drugs were sold out of the apartment, and that an investigation was continuing. He said that Robinson and Broaddus were being held at Central Booking and Intake Center, and that the boy was being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.

ShootingA boy, 17, was shot in the neck in the 1700 block of Homestead St. near Polk Street about 9 p.m. Wednesday and was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where his condition was described as serious. Details of the shooting were not available.

AssaultA woman, 27, was standing outside a house in the 2300 block of E. Hoffman St. about 2 p.m. Tuesday when a 20-year-old woman known to her and driving a green van stopped and fired a shot at the woman. The bullet missed the woman and struck the front door of the house. The armed woman sped away and was being sought. Police said the incident was related to a continuing domestic situation.

AssaultSeveral people were fighting in the 2400 block of E. Lanvale St. on Wednesday when a known male fired at least one shot that missed the combatants. The gunman then pointed the weapon at one person and pulled the trigger, but the gun failed to fire. The gunman fled.

AssaultA man, 39, was in the 1800 block of N. Gay St. about midnight Tuesday when he was attacked by three other males who knocked him to the ground and struck him in the head several times. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

TheftA global positioning system valued at $300 was stolen Tuesday from a 2006 GMC truck parked in the 800 block of E. Preston St.

BurglarySomeone broke into a house in the 1300 block of Riverban Ave. between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday and stole a box containing several pieces of jewelry - all valued at $4,000.

BurglaryTwo cell phones, a camcorder and a digital camera - all valued at nearly $1,900 - were stolen between Tuesday night and early Wednesday from a house in the 6900 block of Beech Ave. by someone who entered through a window after breaking a screen.
