Baltimore
Western
Victim identified // A man shot multiple times Thursday evening in a liquor store in the 400 block of N. Stricker St. and who died yesterday evening at Maryland Shock Trauma Center has been identified as Sidney Millner, 25, whose address was unavailable. Millner and another man were about to leave B&W Liquors about 5:40 p.m. when each was shot by a gunman who escaped. The other victim was shot in the neck and remains at Shock Trauma.

Victim named // Police released the name yesterday of the man shot Friday afternoon at West Lafayette Avenue and North Payson Street. Police said Michael Johnson, 24, whose address was not available, was shot multiple times in the back and died several hours later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. No arrest had been made and police said they knew of no motive. Johnson's death brought the city's homicide count for the year to 12, where it stood yesterday; 26 homicides had been recorded as of Jan. 27, 2007.

Northern
Shooting // A boy, 16, remained in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was shot in the stomach about 7 p.m. Saturday while he and a male friend walked in the 500 block of Ready Ave. Police said a front-seat passenger got out of a car and shot the victim for no apparent reason. The victim and his uninjured friend fled and were found in the yard of a nearby house.

Southern
Arrest // After police stopped a vehicle about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of E. Patapsco Ave. for a defective piece of equipment, they observed a .38-caliber handgun in the vehicle and arrested the driver. Charged with unlawful possession of a firearm was Elijah Richardson, 46, of the 3500 block of Mayfair Road. Police said the gun was being examined to determine if it had been used in any crimes.

Armed robbery/arrests // A man and two teenage boys were arrested Saturday afternoon in a house in Cherry Hill and charged with the armed robbery of a man in the 200 block of Reedbird Ave. a short time earlier. Arrested when police entered his home in the 1300 block of Gulfport Drive was Aaron Knox, 18. Also arrested were two 16-year-old boys. Recovered were a pistol-grip shotgun and a Glock .22 semiautomatic handgun, both believed to have been used in the robbery. It was not known if the teens were charged as juveniles or adults.

Stolen vehicle // A red four-door 1996 Ford Taurus equipped with an anti-theft device and with tags 7DF T03 was stolen over the weekend in the 3400 block of Annapolis Road.

3Burglary // Appliances, a Play Station, video games, a rifle and tools - all valued at $5,322 - were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 1600 block of McHenry St. by someone who entered through a second-floor window.

2Eastern

Assault // A 46-year-old deliveryman for John's Express in the 300 block of S. Broadway was returning to his car in the 1100 block of N. Broadway about 7 p.m. Saturday when he was assaulted by four men, one with a handgun, who struck him in the face, then fled without robbing him.

Burglary // A Play Station, a DVD player and a radio were stolen Saturday from a house in the 1800 block of Dallas St. by someone who entered through a rear door.

Burglary // Copper pipes valued at $8,000 were stolen between Sept. 25 and the weekend from a vacant house in the 2000 block of Jefferson St. by someone who entered through a rear window.

1Baltimore County

Franklin
Arson // A vehicle was parked on the property of Rosewood Center in the 200 block of Rosewood Lane about 9 p.m. Saturday when someone set it on fire, causing nearly $700 damage. The fire remains under investigation.

Pikesville
Burglary // Someone broke into an AT&T store in the 9400 block of Reisterstown Road about 4 a.m. Friday after breaking a front window and stole $7,000 worth of cell phones. The burglary was discovered by police responding to an alarm.
