Ron Shapiro to discuss 'Dare to Prepare' book
Ron Shapiro, a sports agent and author, will be the speaker at a breakfast reception to benefit Literacy Works Inc. at 8 a.m. Thursday at Crowne Plaza Baltimore, 2004 Greenspring Drive, Lutherville.
He will discuss his new book, Dare to Prepare: How to Win Before You Begin. The nonprofit Literacy Works also will present its Student of the Year awards to two adult learners. Breakfast tickets are $65; the book is $27.56. The cost for both is $90.
