Unlicensed cabbie stabs, robs passenger
A man was stabbed and robbed shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday by the driver of an unlicensed cab that he had flagged down in Dundalk, Baltimore County police said.
The victim, John Barker, 35, of the 7900 block of Gough St., was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with a non-life-threatening stab wound to the abdomen, police said.
Barker told police that he got into a silver-colored hack on Sollers Point Road and asked for a ride to Baltimore, said Cpl. Michael Hill, a police spokesman. While on Merritt Boulevard near North Point Road, the driver stabbed and robbed the victim, who was then allowed to get out of the car, Hill said.
