Crossing guard struck by car, injured
A school crossing guard remained hospitalized yesterday after being struck Tuesday morning by a car in Cockeysville, county police said.
Linda Odom, 58, of the 300 block of Wickersham Way in Cockeysville, was walking across Cranbrook Road at about 8:20 a.m. Tuesday when she was hit by a 2007 Nissan turning left from Greenside Drive, said Cpl. Michael Hill, a police spokesman.
He said Odom was taken to Sinai Hospital with injuries that included multiple fractures. She was listed in good condition yesterday.
Odom was alone in the crosswalk when she was struck, he said.The car was being driven by Sarah Marvin, 23, of the 300 block of Limestone Valley Road in Cockeysville.
