Man killed, 3 injured as pickup truck flips
A man was killed and three other men were injured yesterday when the truck in which they were riding went out of control on Route 140 near the Carroll County line and rolled over, county police said.
The truck was hauling a trailer of mulch when the accident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. near Mitchell Drive, police said.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Cpl. Michael Hill, a police spokesman. Another man was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries, Hill said.
A third occupant of the truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and a fourth man was treated at the scene, he said.
The identity of the dead man was being withheld pending notification of next of kin, Hill said.
No other details of the accident were immediately available, he said.
