Man, 35, shot fatally in a car, tossed to street
A 35-year-old man was fatally shot in a car in Federal Hill about 9:15 p.m. yesterday and dumped on the road as the car sped away, city police said.
Witnesses told police that they saw several people inside and outside a blue Toyota that was double-parked in the 800 block of Battery Ave. Those outside the car eventually got in, and, as the car sped away, a shot was fired, police said.
The car stopped moments later, a door swung open and the victim rolled out as the vehicle was driven away, police said. The victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police spokesman Donny Moses said the victim did not live in the Federal Hill neighborhood, and investigators do not believe the group in the car was from the neighborhood.
Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide unit at 410-396-2100.
