2 city shootings investigated
Baltimore police were seeking yesterday two men who were wounded Monday night in separate shootings in the city, authorities said.
A 39-year-old man was shot about 9:30 p.m., in the 500 block of Edgewood St. in Southwest Baltimore's Allendale neighborhood, according to city police. The victim was standing near a car talking to another man when he was shot once in the left leg, police said. Paramedics took him to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.
Earlier, a 19-year-old man was shot shortly before 9 p.m. in the 800 block of N. Collington Ave., in East Baltimore's Middle East neighborhood, police said. Officers received a report of gunfire and arrived at the scene to find a man who had been shot several times, police said.
Paramedics took the man to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was listed in critical condition, police said. Police were investigating both cases and are seeking information about the suspects.
