Homicide victim named // Police released yesterday the name of the man fatally shot Dec. 28 outside a grocery store in East Baltimore. Police said Todd Dargan, 25, of no fixed address, was standing outside Stop, Shop & Save supermarket in the 900 block of N. Caroline St. about 12:30 p.m. when someone shot him multiple times in the upper body. Dargan was taken by a city Fire Department ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died a short time later. Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888 is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for an arrest and an indictment in the killing.
Carjacking/arrest // A man was arrested early Sunday in the 900 block of N. Bond St., about 24 hours after a vehicle was carjacked a block from where he was arrested. Police were in the 900 block of N. Bond St. about 3:40 a.m. when they observed a man driving a blue 1991 Chevrolet Blazer with tags 847M55 that was taken in an armed carjacking a day earlier in the 1000 block of N. Bond St. The suspect, whose name was not available, was charged with armed carjacking and other related offenses and was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.
Shooting // Police investigating the shooting of a man Saturday night located the scene of the shooting Sunday. During an interview with the victim at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was treated for a bullet wound to the right leg, the victim gave investigating detectives at least two locations where he said he was shot. Police went to those areas but found no evidence of a shooting or witnesses. During a subsequent interview, the man told police he was shot in the 1800 block of Harford Road, but could not identify his assailant.
Robbery // A gunman entered Opposite Side of the Street Bar in the 100 block of S. Carey St. about 9 p.m. Friday and fled a short time later with an undisclosed sum of money from a cash register.
