Light rail trains delayed for inspections
Light rail trains are delayed this morning in both directions because of required vehicle inspections.
Shuttle buses are running between the Mount Royal and Penn Station light rail stops, and Red Line direct rail between Camden Yards and Penn Station is not operating.
The Maryland Transportation Authority has undertaken an extensive vehicle inspection program, according to its Web site. There will be fewer trains available during the next several weeks, and commuters are warned of crowding and delays.
