Officials seek help identifying arsonists
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department is seeking the public's help in identifying whoever set a fire last month in Severn.
The one-alarm fire at 1848 Montreal Road on May 17 was controlled quickly, but the home sustained over $70,000 in damage. Witnesses told fire officials that five or six unknown individuals ran from the house just before the fire was discovered.
The Fire Department is asking anyone with information about the case to call 410-222-TIPS (8477). Callers do not need to leave their name or any contact information.
