Multiple-vehicle accident closes 2 lanes of Route 50
A multiple-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of Route 50 in Anne Arundel County left one person with minor injuries and snarled the morning commute, authorities said.
About 7:30 a.m., two tractor-trailers, a pickup truck and a Ford Taurus sedan were in an accident near Ritchie Highway. One person suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, a Maryland State Police official said.
Two lanes headed westbound are closed as police wait for tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway, state police said.
