The Baltimore Sun

The little weekly videos on language that I record and Christina Tkacik produces have had remarkable success.

As I explain in a recent article by Thomas Vinciguerra in the Columbia Journalism Review, they have garnered something in the neighborhood of seven million views in the past six months. In another mark of success, at The Sun’s Facebook site a couple of gentlemen have been making an endearingly amateurish attempt to troll me.

The current series on words that people particularly dislike has a few more numbers to run, and I am trying to decide what further subjects might pique your interest.

If there are issues of language, usage, writing, or editing that you would like me to address, you’re welcome to make suggestions in the comments here, or to write to me at john.mcintyre@baltsun.com.
