On Sunday morning I will take to the console of the once-mighty Casavant for my last summer service as fill-in organist at Memorial Episcopal Church in Bolton Hill. After the ordeal (the congregation bears up tolerably well), I expect to be thirsty.
So I will repair at noon TIME CHANGE: 1:15 P.M. to Gertrude's at the Baltimore Museum of Art, inviting any interested and available Wordvilleans to join me. I'll be at an outside table if the weather is fair, inside otherwise. If any of you think that 5:00 p.m. carries some kind of statutory warrant for beverages, coffee will be available.
John Bosley, who turned up for the first of these informal gatherings at the 13.5% Wine Bar in Hampden suggested Gertrude's. (The wine bar has evidently changed its Sunday hours and now does not open until 3:00.)
It's a rare pleasure for me to see readers of this blog face to face, and I would like to think that there might be pleasure in it for you, too.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
