Joe Ragland was one of the top performers for the Shockers on Saturday, scoring 30 points, getting 7 rebounds, and 1 assist. Ragland hit 11 of 14 shots from the field, finishing one point shy of his career high set earlier this season against UNLV.
Toure Murry scored 16 points, and Carl Hall added 13 points off the bench for the Shockers.
Wichita State only led 39-38 at the half. But the Shockers hit 20 of 25 shots from the field in the second half, many from easy transition buckets and drives to the lane. WSU scored 58 points in the paint compared to Davidson's 28.
Jake Cohen led Davidson in points for the day, 25 in total, despite persistant foul trouble.
The Shockers are led by the trio of Garrett Stutz, Joe Ragland, and Toure Murry. Stutz is carrying team-high averages of 14.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Ragland contributes 13.0 points and 3.5 assists per game. And Murry adds 12.0 points, and 3.2 assists per game.
Stutz led the way with 21 points in the Shockers recent victory over Missouri state.
WSU is on the road once again this week, traveling to Illinois State University to take on the Redbirds on Wednesday.
