SAN DIEGO - San Diego State Aztecs season ended Thursday evening after Connecticut won the West regional Sweet Sixteen game 74-67.

Kemba Walker stood at the free-throw line and calmly sank two free throws with 14 seconds left, adding to his pick-me resume for the NBA draft Thursday by running San Diego State in circles during the victory in an NCAA tournament West Region semifinal at Honda Center in Anaheim, putting an end to the most successful season in the Aztecs' history.

Second-seeded Aztec's D.J. Gay scored 16 points during the West regional semifinals, but it wasn't enough to combat UConn's Walker's 36 points.

Walker had a dynamic second-half performance with 12 consecutive points.   Freshman Jeremy Lamb sunk a 3-pointer with 1:43 left in the game which put a dagger in Aztecs run.
