SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Chargers announced Tuesday they still have to sell about 11,000 tickets by Thursday to avoid a local television blackout of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons at Qualcomm Stadium.
All but the most expensive club level seats at Qualcomm Stadium need to be sold by 1:05 p.m. Thursday or the telecast will be blacked out. The 2-0 Chargers take on the unbeaten 2-0 Falcons at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
Fans who purchase tickets to this Sunday's game will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets to this year's "hottest-selling game" against the Denver Broncos at Qualcomm Stadium, Chargers said.
The Broncos will take on the Chargers during a nationally-televised Monday Night Football game on October 15.
The Chargers needed a 24-hour extension of the deadline last week to sell out the final 2,100 tickets to Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans and have the blackout lifted.
