SAN DIEGO – Detectives released a photograph Thursday of a man suspected of attempted robbery and sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman near a trolley station.

The victim was at the trolley station at 400 Euclid Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday when the incident happened, according to San Diego Crime Stoppers.

The suspect was described as a black man between the ages of 18 and 23, 6-feet, 2-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds. In the surveillance photo, he appeared to have short black hair and was wearing a baseball cap, dark jacket, baggy pants, and a white long-sleeved shirt.

The woman told investigators she was waiting for the trolley when the man lured her to a secluded area and sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

Anyone with information the identity and location of the suspect has been asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477.  A $1000 reward has been offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case.
