Eleven out-of-state elementary students on a bus involved in an accident at the Golden Acorn Casino on the Campo Indian Reservation today were being checked out at hospitals, authorities said.

The bus struck a light pole in the casino's parking lot about 8:10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Ten students on the bus suffered minor injuries, and one suffered moderate injuries, Mike Mohler of Cal Fire said. All 11 were taken to Sharp Grossmont Hospital and Alvarado Hospital to be checked out.

CHP Officer Ray Scheidnes said the group was from another state.
