According to the Associated Press, running back Ryan Matthews has signed a five-year, $25.65 million contract with the Chargers.
Matthews is the heir to San Diego legend LaDainian Tomlinson who was released and signed with the New York Jets.
Matthews was the 12th pick in the draft and played for Fresno State.
