SAN DIEGO—A former San Diego Charger asked for help Tuesday in identifying the person responsible for burglarizing his home.
Lorenzo Neal's said he returned to his house in Fresno, Calif., Tuesday and found out he had unwanted visitors.
"Today is a sad day," said Neal on his Twitter page. "I just got home from Sacramento, and my house was broken into. Say a prayer for me and my family."
According to Neal, items that were stolen include his framed Saints jersey, Bengals jersey, helmets, Ali vs. Frasier gloves, a framed and signed jersey from Jerry Rice, and his wife's jewelry.
"They stole my personal gear from my rookie year, my jerseys from the Saints up to the Chargers," said Neal on his twitter page.
In hopes to get information about the break in, Neal said he would offer a $5000 reward to any who helped recover the stolen items. Neal said the items might show up in pawn shops, sports shops, on Craigslist, Ebay.
"The jewelry I can replace, but my memories from 16 years of playing I can't," Neal said.
