SAN DIEGO - A dream home worth $2.2 million is being raffled off in the North County to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego.
The 4600 square foot, five bedroom, five bath house features an entertainment room, courtyard, outdoor kitchen, infinity pool, hot tub and a swim up bar.
“Then there's the view by this vanishing edge pool,” said Chuck Day, President and CEO of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego, while pointing to the panoramic views of Encinitas.
Raffle tickets cost $150 each. The grand prize winning ticket will be drawn in May and the winner has the option of taking the home or taking $1.5 million.
There are more than a hundred other prizes that will be raffled off as well as other cash prizes and a Porsche Boxster.
“You have a chance, for example, to win anything from a Toyota Prius, to a Sea Doo Speedster, to a Vespa Scooter in the first raffle,” said Day.
The money raised goes to San Diego Ronald McDonald House where the families of sick children stay.
“We know that when families are close children get better faster and that's kind of the philosophy that started in San Diego some 32 years ago,” said Day.
Last year more than $2 million was raised by the raffle. To purchase a raffle ticket click here.
