FORT WORTH—TCU football will kick off the 2010 season in grand fashion by taking on Oregon State at Cowboys Stadium. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN and will be the first ever meeting between the Horned Frogs and the Beavers.
The Frogs released their non-conference schedule today and all four of those games will be played in North Texas.
The Friday game at SMU will be the first time since 2004 the Horned Frogs have played a regular season game on a Friday night. That game will also be televised on ESPN
In Oregon State and Baylor, TCU will face at least two opponents from BCS automatic-qualifying conferences for the eighth consecutive season. The Horned Frogs are 13-3 in their last 16 games against teams from automatic-qualifying leagues.
TCU's Mountain West Conference schedule will be released later this spring by the league office.
The Horned Frogs kickoff their spring practice on the TCU practice fields tomorrow afternoon with 16 of 22 starters returning from last year's 12-1 team that made it's first BCS appearance in school history.
It will be the first of 15 practices with the annual Spring Game set for April 10th.
