From winning "Dancing With The Stars" to appearing in the new television show "Who Do You Think You Are" Emmitt Smith
has found plenty of activities to keep him occupied now that his playing days are over.
And now you can add one more notch to his post-football resume. The NFL
's All Time Leading Rusher will host the inaugural Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit underprivileged children.
"If I take a kid out of South Dallas ... that's never crossed the Trinity River, and I take him over, now he or she has an opportunity not only to see Dallas up close and personal, but to see places like McKinney and how the houses look there," Emmitt said. "These kids were like me when I went into a different neighborhood. They're like wow! These are big homes. The world is bigger than your ghetto."

Joining Emmitt in his latest venture is Pat Smith, Emmitt's wife, who's also the president of Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities. Pat admits her husband's post-football career is just as hectic as his playing days -- but is even more rewarding.
"People ask, 'Is Emmitt busy?' Or, 'Does he miss football?' I tell them he's actually busier now than he was when he played football," Pat said. "I think he's enjoying the opportunity, not only to do business but also being able to give back to children."
Emmitt said giving back is an important responsibility.
"To whom much is given, much is required," he said. "To me, that means lending a help hand to someone who needs a helping hand. We're trying to unlock these kids mental potential."
