CLEBURNE, TEXAS—Police believe they may have found the body of a missing 67-year-old woman blocks away from where she wandered off on Oct. 9.
Cleburne Police found a decomposing body about 6 p.m. Saturday in a wooded area around Buffalo Creek. The location is only blocks away from where Virginia Burns, 67, wandered off on Oct. 9.
Burns was last seen outside of a relative's apartment in the 700 block of Main Street in Cleburne. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not determined the identity of the body or the cause of death.
Relatives and police searched the surrounding area, including the creek, for Burns after she was reported missing, but they did not find her.
Police do not suspect foul play.
