Colleyville Police, along with federal agents, are investigating a bomb scare after a woman discovered an explosive device on her front porch on Dogwood Court.

Police say the divorced mother of two, found a suspicious device in a FedEx box and alerted a neighbor, who called authorities. Neighbors say the woman is friendly and well-liked..

"The fact that it was on her doorstep, I just don't know," said Donna Marshall, who lives down the street.

Investigators say the bomb squad used a robot to detonate the device at the scene, after the neighborhood was evacuated. ATF officials who are part of the investigation say this was not the work of an amateur.

"Let's just say that it was meant to do harm and damage," said ATF Special Agent, Michael Golson, Sr.

The attempted attack left the quiet neighborhood shaken. Many say they don't often see crime.

"It is a little disconcerting," said Jim Short.

Police say they haven't ruled anyone out as a suspect and don't have a motive for the attack. "We will be looking at everyone," said Police Chief, Steve Dye.
