Congressman Dave Reichert is out of the hospital after surgery to drain blood from his brain.

Reichert bumped his head while doing yard work at his home last month. Doctors say that likely caused Reichert's subdural hematoma, or blood on the surface of the brain.

A CT scan over the weekend showed that everything looked okay. Doctors cleared the Congressman to fly this week so he can come back home for the official kick off of his campaign for another term.

Reichert went to George Washington University Hospital last Wednesday because he wasn't feeling well.

Reichert voted against the health care reform bill, but had to miss Thursday night's vote on final fixes to the measure. Reichert represents Washington's Eighth Congressional District, which includes Bellevue and Mercer Island.
