Md. man arrested in federal murder investigation
Tavon Kearney (October 25, 2011)
Tavon Kearney, 24, was arrested by federal marshals Monday in Hampton, Va., and charged as a fugitive from justice, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.
Another suspect in the case, Rasjahnon Roberts, 27, of Queens, N.Y., was captured Sept. 16 at the Red Roof Inn in Williamsport by officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, West Virginia State Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Hagerstown Police Department.
A third suspect, Rasshammach Roberts, 28, of Hollis, N.Y., remains at large.
Kearney, Rasjahnon Roberts and Rasshammach Roberts were charged earlier in warrants with one count each of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for their alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another during a fight Sept. 4 at My Place, a bar in Ridgeley, W.Va., the release said.
The bar is across the Potomac River from Cumberland.
Ryan Henry, 25, died of a single gunshot wound, the release said. Ryan Henry’s brother, Richard Henry, 23, was critically injured when he was shot in the face.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Michael Ulrich said Tuesday in an email that he didn’t know Richard Henry’s condition.
The Mineral County (W.Va.) Sheriff’s Office did not return two telephone messages Tuesday seeking comment.
Anyone with information about Rasshammach Roberts may call 304-262-8615 or send an email to email@example.com.
