PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP—Water sports don't normally include snow and 30 degree water temperatures, but today they did.
For the past 30 years the Grand City Show Skiers have been braving the cold temperatures to ski on New Years Day.
Organizer Tim Priest said that they like to start off the year on a good note by getting in the water right away.
10 people were brave enough to ski today. There were even some who decided to barefoot ski.
And to make sure nobody got frostbite, the rides were short, and skiers soaked their feet and hands in buckets of hot water after they were done.
Even though it sounds crazy, the group says they'll continue to do it and can't wait for next year.
