GAINES TOWNSHIP—6:50 p.m. UPDATE: The Kent County Sheriff's Department tells FOX 17 News that the little boy has been reunited with family members. An aunt saw the child on television and immediately called the Sheriff's Office, then responded directly to the scene to be reunited with her nephew. The aunt took deputies to the little boy's residence. The child is in good health, and was not injured.
Investigators are trying to figure out how the little boy was able to wander away from his home without adults noticing it. _______________
6:30 p.m. UPDATE: Family members of the lost child contacted the Kent County Sheriff's Department. He is being reunited with his family. We'll continue to update this story as information becomes available. ______________
The Kent County Sheriff's Department needs your help, after a little boy was found wandering alone in Gaines Township.
He's about 2 or 3 years old, and can't tell officers his name or where he lives. They found him near 60th Street and Eastern Avenue. He has on a brown and blue striped shirt, and jeans, and was wearing one shoe, and one boot. The boy has a scar on his forehead.
