The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects last week, and believe they may be serial burglars. The two have already confessed to 50 burglaries in the last month alone.

They say thousands of dollars in stolen property was found.

Newaygo County Deputies and Michigan State Police in Newaygo say they've received more than  150 burglary complaints this year.  Last week, investigators made a traffic stop on two suspects in northern Newaygo County.  Police say the car was loaded with stolen goods, including a rifle.  Police say the suspects had just committed nine burglaries at homes in Lake County and were headed home with the property.  Police say the men confessed, and one said the pair had broke in to 50 homes in the last month.

Police developed information on the suspects from anonymous tips. Investigators say "a trailer load" of stolen property was found, "including computers, stereo equipment, hunting equipment, and a large number of tools." 

The suspects are being held on Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.  The pair could also be charged with Home Invasion and Burglary.
