PAW PAW, Mich—A school bus collided with an SUV after the driver of the bus ran a stop sign, according to police.
The crash happened just before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning on M-51 in Paw Paw, near Paw Paw Road in Van Buren County. Eight special-needs students were on the bus, but authorities say they were properly secured and uninjured in the crash.
The preliminary investigation showed the driver of the bus was at fault, having run a stop sign before hitting the SUV.
The driver of the SUV had minor injuries and has been released form the hospital.
The school bus driver was cited for disregarding a stop sign.
