Only one game on the NHL schedule on March 1st, and it involves some very tired Red Wings. Head coach Mike Babcock and defenseman Brian Rafalski were set to rejoin their team today in Denver, after taking part in one of the most memorable moments of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Any animosity between the two over the Gold Medal game will be put behind them as they get back to their day job - trying to get the Red Wings into Stanley Cup contention.

Rafalski's status for the game is not yet known, whether or not he plays will be a game time decision. One player certain to be in the Detroit lineup is Andreas Lilja. The defenseman hasn't played in 366 days after suffering a concussion in a fight against Nashville at the Joe last February. Lilja spent time doing his rehab with the Griffins.

The red Wings currently sit tied for 9th in the Western Conference standings.
