Maurice Clemons, the man wanted for the shooting of a 19-year-old in Muskegon, a man featured on FOX 17's West Michigan's Most Wanted, has been captured.

The Muskegon Police Department reported that Maurice Clemons, 27, was picked up and arrested in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Clemons was arrested on a suspicious person call in Milwaukee. He's currently lodged in Milwaukee County Jail

Clemons will be extradited back to Michigan. Police believe he murdered 19-year-old Brandon McPherson by shooting him in broad daylight as he walked down the street back on November 28th, 2010.

Chief Jeff Lewis says they knew Clemons was traveling between Milwaukee, Chicago and Muskegon and alerted federal and local law enforcement officials in those areas to be on the lookout.

Detectives and his family members are pleased with the arrest.

"It feels great, it's been more than a year and a half, we finally can have some relief," says
Tia West, Brandon's cousin. "I'm happy. I hope justice is really served, I really do.

A task force made up of members of the Muskegon Police Department, Michigan State Police and the U.S. Marshals service had been working along with other local jurisdictions in Wisconsin to locate Clemons who was believed to be hiding out in the Milwaukee area.
