KALAMAZOO—A woman has turned herself in to police regarding homicide that occurred in Kalamazoo early Saturday morning.
At 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to a report of a man down in the 900 block of Reed Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 32-year-old Kalamazoo man suffering from severe head trauma. The officers rendered aid and the man was transported by Life Ambulance to Bronson Hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
The victim's name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
The investigation revealed that the victim and a 39-year-old Kalamazoo woman were involved in a domestic altercation. The woman attempted to leave, struck the victim with her vehicle and then left the scene.
She later turned herself in to Kalamazoo Public Safety.
