To say our FOX 17 crew was excited today would be an understatement.

Producers and photographers turned into fans when Christopher Lloyd stopped by to talk about his latest project, a movie filmed right here in Michigan.

Growing up watching the Back to the Future movies, it was such a cool opportunity to interview Doc, not to mention such an accomplished, humble actor.  I got a little nervous before the interview though after reading this from his wiki entry: "Lloyd seldom appears in public or gives interviews."

Yikes! Even though I had a good feeling that he was a pretty laid back guy, suddenly panic struck that maybe he doesn't enjoy interviews... or maybe, like many actors that get stuck with a cult following for one role they've played, he doesn't want to talk about a franchise that came out more than two decades ago... maybe he'll be offended if- And then interrupting my string of fears, my phone rang.  It was the front desk letting me know that the crew (including C. Lloyd himself) arrived... 45 minutes early.

Nothing like a hustle to put your mind back on track.

In the end, Christopher Lloyd was very sincere and casual, politely agreeing to photos and autographs for our crew while we waited to get started.  I interviewed him along with the director and young star of Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Conspiracy and then a separate interview just with Lloyd.

Watch FOX 17 Morning news tomorrow (Thursday May 9) at 6:25 & 7:25 for some of the interviews and we'll post them in their entirety here.

Mickey Matson & the Copperhead Conspiracy is celebrating a red carpet premiere at Celebration Cinema tomorrow.  The premiere is already sold-out but it will run for the next 3 weeks after that at Celebration Cinemas.
