Thanks to a grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities, thousands of students from West Michigan get to participate in a unique music education program.

Four-thousand students in schools from Kent, Muskegon, and Ottawa Counties, as well as others in the area will be able to participate in the West Michigan Symphony’s “Carnegie Hall Link Up Program.”

FOX 17 followed along as fourth and fifth graders were treated to a jam session of recorders and trumpets, followed by a presentation of $10,000 from Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Outstate Michigan has awarded grants totaling more than $6 million to various organizations within the state.
