GRAND RAPIDS, Mich—About 40 middle and high school girls have gotten sick over the last few days, and the Kent County Health Department says it could be an outbreak of the norovirus.
The illness broke out at Davenport University, where hundreds of girls from around the state have gathered for a pom-pon competition.
So far, the girls haven't gotten medical treatment, but have been ill with stomach issues.
That competition has since been canceled.
FOX 17 is working to get the latest information on the incident.
