GRAND RAPIDS—Santa arrived from the North Pole to make a stop at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store at 1314 South Division in Grand Rapids on Saturday. There, children of all ages and backgrounds got to sit on his lap and share their Christmas wishes.
Santa, who is bilingual, was able to chat with children who spoke only Spanish.
The non-profit has a holiday display complete with Christmas trees and candy canes.
The society of St. Vincent collects donations from the community to support many people in need with reduced priced goods such as clothing, household items, and furniture. They have two stores. One at South Division. The other is located in Muskegon.
