A pair of Michigan congressmen conducted a town hall meeting at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids on Saturday.

U.S. Rep. Justin Amash and U.S. Rep. Hansen Clarke met with constituents in the museum's auditorium. Amash organized the town hall meeting and welcomed Clarke as "a special guest."

"I am excited to join with my colleague, Rep. Justin Amash, to hold this town hall," said Clarke. "This event shows that, regardless of my party affiliation, we can work together to serve Michigan residents."

Amash is a Republican and Clarke is a Democrat.

Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell introduced the two to the crowd assembled for the event.
