Grand Rapids police say three people were shot at Burton and Ionia SW around 2:10 a.m. on Labor Day. Two of those victims were pronounced dead on the scene. A third person was shot in the mouth and is in the hospital in serious condition.

Friday, the Grand Rapids Department released the identities of the deceased victims as Felix Romero Reyes-Santos, 45 and Alvaro Carrillo-Mendez, 22.

The second shooting happened around 3:20 a.m. There, two more people were shot at Buchannan Avenue and Griggs Street SW. Police say the two victims were shot in the chest and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Both are listed in serious condition.

FOX 17 spoke with one woman who called 9-1-1 and witnessed the second shooting.

"So we stopped and all of a sudden the guy he's like 'I've been shot! I've been shot!' and the other guy that did shoot him.. he started walking down the street. He didn't run. He just started walking like it was nothing.... That's the thing that shocked me. Because he didn't even run. He just walked like it was nothing. When he dropped the gun, he picked it up, put it in his pants and just walked away. But the poor guy was just bleeding."

The second suspect is described as a man wearing khaki shorts and a white t-shirt wrapped around his head.

Grand Rapids police believe the incidents are separate.
