Cecil College will hold its 39th annual commencement ceremonies today on the North East campus.
The graduation will include students who were awarded degrees or certificates in December and wish to participate in the formal commencement.
The college will award 189 associate degrees and 58 certificates. Some students will receive more than one degree or certificate.
The 2008 commencement is the first such ceremony since the college changed its name on July 1, 2007, and students were given the option of having "Cecil Community College" or "Cecil College" imprinted on their diplomas.
Only 14 of the 206 students chose Cecil Community College, while the other 192 requested diplomas with Cecil College.
Elementary students out at 1 p.m. Friday
Harford County public schools will dismiss elementary school students at 1 p.m. Friday for teacher planning time.Schools and offices will be closed May 26 for Memorial Day.

PRAXIS test prep starts June 2
Harford Community College will offer an online PRAXIS Test Preparation course beginning June 2.This class prepares teacher candidates and provisional teachers for the reading/writing and math portions of the PRAXIS I test.

The Harford Friends School will offer summer learning programs for children ages 4 to 13, from June 16 to Aug. 15.Programs include:
