Working beyond the rap culture - May 10, 2008 - Joanne Martin sat across from me yesterday morning at the Great Blacks In Wax Museum. I held my head in my hands, mumbling something no doubt incoherent about what I'd like to do to distributors of rap videos.

Annapolis showed why world news is important - December 2, 2007 - Last week's Middle East summit meeting in Annapolis was major front-page news in The Sun, which offered significant coverage for much of the week. While serious gains from the daylong talks appeared unlikely even before they began, The Sun's coverage was, in my view, appropriate for two reasons. He found my suggestion two weeks ago that citizens monitor the performance of their traffic courts to be downright sinister.

A day at the races is a glimpse of the good life in Baltimore City - May 10, 2008 - About this time of the year a set of news stories appear to reveal how the spectator side of thoroughbred racing is about to perish. I read the accounts about Pimlico's fallen glory days and that the stands are empty, except for Preakness day.
