A wintry mix is expected this weekend with snow flurries beginning early Saturday, turning into rain, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service said.
A high-pressure system is expected to bring cold air into the area, as temperatures dip to a low around 32 degrees Friday night. The system is expected to be followed by a low-pressure system, bringing in higher temperatures and cutting chances for any snow accumulation, said meteorologist Carrie Suffern.
Temperatures Saturday are expected to reach the low 40s, bringing "all rain Saturday," she said.
Any precipitation is anticipated to finish by Saturday evening, but Sunday's forecast calls for cloudy skies.
"Sunday is cloudy with a chance or rain," she said.
