The rear of a vacant dwelling collapsed as firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze in West Baltimore early Saturday morning, a city fire spokesman said.
Firefighters responded to the 600 block of Baker Street at about 5 a.m. and found fire on the top two levels of the three-story brick home, Chief Kevin Cartwright said. The fire was under control by 5:40 a.m., he said, adding that one person was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center
with a non-life-threatening injury.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Cartwright said.
